Agribusiness has transformed the farmer into a creator of value rather than a creator of price. This provides the possibility to generate additional income from an existing land base. Agriculture has proven to be very profitable for those who know it. This increase in income not only improved the farmer’s family’s livelihoods, but also allowed the farmer to create new paid jobs for various family members, including some future farmers. But the economic impact of agriculture is often considered large but small.
